*CRIMINAL CASE UPDATE*
MURRIETA MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO UNLAWFUL INTERCOURSE WITH MINOR WHO HE MET WHILE A FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

MURRIETA - On Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, a Murrieta man pleaded guilty to three sex with a minor counts involving a teenage girl he met through his employment as a firefighter/paramedic in the city of Murrieta.

Dorsey Edward Allison, 25, pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and one count of oral copulation of a minor. The pleas were made directly to the court, not through a plea agreement, and happened on what was to be the first day of Allison's preliminary hearing.

Superior Court Judge Judith Clark accepted the guilty pleas and ordered Allison to return to the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta on Oct. 19, 2009, to be sentenced. Allison faces a maximum sentence of four years, four months in prison.

Allison and the victim, who was 16 years old at the time, exchanged phone numbers in November 2008. The two had actually met about two years earlier.

After texting back and forth for about a month, Allison picked up the victim from school and took her to his apartment where they had sex. Several weeks later, Allison again picked her up from school and engaged in a sexual act along a secluded road before he took her back to school. In January 2009, the two again met and had sex at Allison's apartment.

The teen girl disclosed what had happened to a school counselor who reported it to Murrieta police. Detectives then conducted an investigation resulting in Allison's arrest and prosecution.

The case, SWF027768, is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Strona.
